About John

John has practiced law in Kalispell since 1974 and was previously affiliated with Murphy, Robinson, Heckathorn & Phillips and its successor law firm, Crowley Fleck. John graduated from Rocky Mountain College, University of Montana Law School and the University of Missouri at Kansas City Tax School. Before he settled in the Flathead Valley, John was a law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Montana Supreme Court and also served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army at Fort Knox in Kentucky.

John's practice focuses in the areas of commercial and business law, succession planning, estate and trust planning, estate and trust administration, and real estate. He has presented numerous seminars to business professionals and organizations as well as the general public on these areas of law.

John has devoted time to serving on boards or committees of a wide variety of local and state organizations, including the Montana Facility Finance Authority, Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts, Montana Logging Association, Montana Board of Realty Regulation, United Way, St. Matthew's School Board, Salvation Army, and Flathead County Red Cross Chapter.
