About Kelly

Kelly O'Brien graduated from Lewis & Clark School of Law in Portland in 2004. During law school, she worked for the Land Use Board of Appeals, as well as various municipal governments, tribal agencies and non-profit organizations. In addition, she earned a certificate in environmental and natural resources law, and was the recipient of the Cornelius Honors Society Award and the Pro Bono Honors Program for three consecutive years.

Upon graduation, she worked for the City Attorney's Office for the City of Vancouver, until she was offered the opportunity to move to Central Oregon and work in the non-profit arena. With this position, she directed planned giving, major gifts and foundation programs, as well as provided financial planning oversight. She worked closely with individual donors on charitable giving techniques and how to leave a legacy for future generations. Her experience provides her with a strong background in estate planning from a charitable perspective.

Kelly also has a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis on international business from the University of Montana. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a consultant for the Montana Export Assistance Center, a support center for small businesses seeking to export their products overseas.

After practicing as a solo attorney in Oregon, Kelly joined Measure Law Office in a move that brought her back home to the Flathead Valley. She continues to work with businesses, non-profit organizations, individuals and families, providing insight and techniques to plan effectively for the future.
